FIRST WORLD SLEEP
c 2010 Tristan Winter
This
Silence my skin
Disuetude
my applause
No sound just the colors changing
Don’t say that blue to green
To
quartz In
the heat of the thousands of years ago
I
might have known and lived
a friend
My
touch forgotten
They
dig me up grinning
with desolate
pleasure
A curse on all the fright around me a fright
I cursed as nonexistant
A fright I fought like poltergeists
Slashing saving
all the world
against what does not exist
Friend you are alone when sleeping
My one love you
raise your head once
The persecutors, bombers, streetcorner thugs the
cops
the mothersfathersunclesaunts
the teachersbossesdriversmadmen

Fear
the ringing cracks through their minds their
look of monkeyandmonster
to any other animal here
There is no such thing
There is no
Alone you sleep love in the highest
palace close
your eyes inlaid with teak and murals
of the worlds greatest deeds and lusts
warm not cold and
vibrating with the universe
That smile breezes across your face
because you now
know you are alone
Those fears were never here you are safe
O until war was declared to your surprise
